How to convert JPG to PNG

  1. Choose one or more JPG files, or drop them on the page.
  2. Adjust the settings if you want to.
  3. Select Convert to PNG, then download your images.

Good to know

  • The image keeps its size in pixels.
  • PNG files are usually much larger than JPGs. Converting doesn't bring back detail that JPG compression already removed.
  • Convert to PNG when an app or website requires it, or before editing an image many times.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded?
No. Your browser converts them on your device. Your images are not sent to Filecon's servers.
Is photo information like location removed?
Yes. The converted image contains only the picture. Hidden details such as GPS location, camera model and date are not copied into the new file. Photos are turned the right way up first.
Can I convert several images at once?
Yes, up to 50 images (20 MB each). Download them one by one or together as a ZIP. If one file can't be converted, the others still are.
